The Vista Murrieta girls' basketball team stayed undefeated in league Tuesday night, beating Chaparral 72-45. Jaelyn Brown set a school record by scoring 44 points. She also added 14 rebounds and 9 steals to lead the first place Broncos (5-0 in league and 17-5 overall). Brittney Reed added 15 points for VMHS.
Murrieta Valley won its second consecutive league game, defeating Temecula Valley 41-34. The Nighthawks were led by Nellie Jones, who had nine points. MVHS improved to 2-3 in league and 13-8 overall.
Murrieta Mesa lost to Great Oak 59-37 as the Rams fell to 2-3 in league and 12-9 overall. Mikayla Greens led the Rams in scoring with 13 points, while Jessica Brogdon added 10.
