Twenty High School Seniors Receive Scholarships

The Temecula Valley Woman's Club celebrated 20 high school seniors who each received a $1000 scholarship

Twenty seniors from the six local high schools in the Temecula valley were celebrated at the Temecula Valley Woman’s Club meeting Thursday, May 24. They were recognized for their achievements and spoke to the members of the club telling them of their future plans. They were awarded their scholarships of $1000 each at earlier ceremonies at each of their respective schools. “The members of TVWC consider this one of the highlights of the year—hearing about their future plans is so gratifying! “ enthused Peggy Baumann, President of the club.

From Murrieta Mesa High School are Tristan Kinney, Emma Pruett and Avrodet Mourkus; from Vista Murrieta High School are Maya Calderon, Lauren Ellis, Lauren Callella and Britney Moultrie; from Murrieta Valley High School are Brayden Velk, Citali Rivas and Victoria Albezer. From Great Oak High School are Niki Collette, Erin Griggs, Aidan Moore and Jamila Francisco; from Chaparral High School are Hana Alsawaf, Anabelle Wright and Sonika Sethi; from Temecula Valley High School are Joseph Mann, Taylor Roe and Jack Dienhart.

The GFWC Temecula Valley Woman’s Club is part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, an international organization, dedicated to the improvement of educational, ethical and cultural life of the community through volunteer service. Collectively we are living the volunteer spirit. Monies for scholarships come from funds raised at the TVWC Annual Holiday Home Tour.
