Two Shot, One Dead, on Santa Rosa Plateau: Sheriff's Department
Murder investigators were sent to the scene near Murrieta to investigate the circumstances leading up to the deadly shooting, police said.

MURRIETA, CA – Two men have been shot — one of them fatally — at a home near Murrieta, the sheriff's department reports.
According to sheriff's Sgt. Jeff Buompensiero, the incident was first reported at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday at a residence in the 43800 block of El Calamar Road in the unincorporated Santa Rosa area.
"Deputies arrived and found two adult males who suffered gunshot wounds," the sergeant said in a news release. "One of the victims was transported to a local area hospital and is undergoing treatment for his injuries."

The other man died of his injuries, described as gunshot wounds to the upper body. Neither victim has been identified at this point.
Buompensiero said murder investigators were sent to the scene to investigate the circumstances leading up to the deadly shooting. Anyone who may have information related to the incident was asked to call the Central Homicide Unit at (760) 578-2101.
