
Temecula Valley Museum is having an Apron Exhibit - “Apron Strings: Ties to the Past” - September 6 through October 26. It is a great exhibit that has traveled the country for several years. Free parking is available at the museum, located at 28314 Mercedes Street and at the Old Town Parking Garage at Mercedes and Main Street.
You can combine your exhibit visit with the 16th Annual Old Town Temecula Outdoor Quilt Show on Saturday, October 4, where they literally hang quilts everywhere (light posts, balconies, everywhere). They also have a Quilt Walk September 20 thru October 4, designated businesses have quilts on display throughout Old Town. The Museum is also having a bazaar on October 18. And finally, on October 25 there will be a workshop showing upcycled aprons from shirts, old jeans, kitchen towels and table scarves. As well as a paper copy of the workshop, giveaways include a vintage apron or pattern to all participants.
