Vista Murrieta Broncos Victorious in Round One Playoff Game

Moberg and Rausa provide the power and Tyler Russell pitches a gem.

CIF-Southern Section Division 1 playoffs were in full swing Friday and Vista Murrieta wasted no time getting on the scoreboard fast, taking care of business with 3-0 victory over visiting Royal High School from Simi Valley.

Jeffery Boberg lead off the bottom half of the first inning with a solo homerun. Two innings later with bases loaded, Joe Ortuno was hit by a pitch to score the Broncos second run. Tyler Rausa hit a pinch hit solo homerun in the sixth inning to cap off the scoring.

Broncos starting pitcher, Tyler Russell pitched a one hitter deep into the fifth inning. The Bronco bullpen did the rest, finishing off the Highlanders and taking the next step towards the ultimate goal of another CIF Championship.
