Where Feet May Fail

The Lord put this on my writer's heart to pray openly for Meriam Ishag. His sovereign hand will be my guide.

Psalm 69: 13-18: But I pray to you, O Lord, in the time of your favor; in your great love, O God, answer me with your sure salvation. Rescue me from the mire, do not let me sink; deliver me from those who hate me, from the deep waters. Do not let the floodwaters engulf me or the depths swallow me up or the pit close its mouth over me. Answer me, O Lord, out of the goodness of your love; in your great mercy turn to me. Do not hide your face from your servant; answer me quickly for I am in trouble. Come near and rescue me because of my foes.

John 14:27-30: "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one."

Lord, my petition is too great for man to resolve. I know if my heart is troubled by Meriam's (all of the persecuted) imprisonment, then your heart is troubled, too.  You're a great and awesome God who acknowledges our prayers, perpetually saving us from times of trouble,  granting us peace amid the storm. Replenish Meriam's faith, Lord. Watch over her and her children. I know you have a perfect plan that no one can render asunder.  I know you hold her tears in the palm of your hand, as you surround her with a league of angels. Free her from bondage, Lord. In Christ's name, amen.
