The Coroner's Office Saturday identified a 49-year-old woman who was killed when she was struck by a tractor-trailer while attempting to a cross an intersection in Murrieta.

Kimberly Renteria was crossing Murrieta Hot Springs Drive, east of Madison Avenue at 9 a.m. Friday when the driver of the tractor-trailer began a turn from northbound Madison, going east on Murrieta Hot Springs and hit her, said Murrieta police Lt. John Flavin.

Renteria, who was in a marked crosswalk, was pronounced dead at the scene. The big rig driver was not arrested, Flavin said, but added that the investigation was ongoing.
