Woman Killed On I-215 Freeway In Menifee Identified By Coroner

All northbound lanes were shut down at Newport Road between 9:16 p.m. Thursday and 3 a.m. Friday for the investigation and cleanup.​​

MENIFEE, CA — A woman was killed and two other people injured in a three-vehicle traffic collision in Menifee, authorities said Friday.

The crash was reported just before 9 p.m. Thursday on the northbound Escondido (215) Freeway just south of McCall Boulevard, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

Jazmine Gomez, 29, of Romoland died of her injuries at the scene, fire officials said.

One person suffered moderate injuries and another suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the crash was under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
