Authorities ID Driver Killed In Crash Near Yountville
The fatal head-on collision happened just south of Yountville, a CHP Napa spokesperson said.

NAPA VALLEY, CA — An Angwin man has been identified as the driver who died in a head-on collision Tuesday afternoon just south of Yountville that also left the other driver with major injuries. The Napa County Sheriff's office identified him as 47-year-old Lewis Alexander Ort of Angwin.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Ort was driving a 1992 Toyota at a high rate of speed south in the north lane of Solano Avenue south of Hoffman Lane around 3:30 p.m.
The Toyota collided with a 2004 Porsche driven by a 54-year-old Napa woman, CHP Officer
Marc Renspurger said.

Ort was pronounced dead at the scene around 3:50 p.m., sheriff's spokesman Henry Wofford said.
A CHP helicopter landed at the scene and the Porsche driver, who suffered minor injuries, was taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center.

A girl in the Porsche was picked up at the scene by her father, Renspurger said.
All vehicle occupants were wearing seat belts and the airbags deployed in the collision, Renspurger said.
Solano Avenue reopened at about 5:47 p.m.
