1 DUI Arrest, 4 Unlicensed Drivers At Napa Checkpoint On Friday
DUI enforcement is still planned over the holiday weekend.

One arrest was made during Friday’s Napa County DUI and driver’s license checkpoint, part of the holiday weekend AVOID the 9.
Nine officers and one CSO worked this operation from 6 p.m. to midnight, and 371 vehicles passed through the checkpoint which was located at 3rd and Coombs streets, according to the Napa Police Department.
Seven drivers were evaluated for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and one arrest was made, police said.

Additionally, four drivers were driving without a valid license, police said. These drivers were issued citations to appear in court at a later date.
Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
