1 Critically Injured In Head-On Collision Near St. Helena: CHP
The driver of a Toyota Yaris suffered major injuries in a head-on collision with a Toyota Tundra pickup truck, the CHP said.

NAPA VALLEY, CA — A 75-year-old St. Helena woman was critically injured in a head-on collision Tuesday morning near St. Helena, the California Highway Patrol said.
The CHP was notified at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday of the crash on Spring Mountain Road, west of Langtry Road, CHP Officer Jaret Paulson said.
The St. Helena woman was driving a Toyota Yaris eastbound on Spring Mountain Road, approaching the front of a Toyota Tundra pickup truck driven by a 33-year-old Napa man who was traveling westbound when for unknown reasons, the Yaris driver crossed over the double-yellow lines from the eastbound lane into the westbound lane, directly into the path of the Tundra, Paulson said.

The vehicles collided head-on in the westbound lane.
The St. Helena woman suffered major injuries and was taken by AMR Ambulance to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa. She remained in critical condition Wednesday morning, Paulson told Patch.

The Tundra driver suffered minor injuries and was not taken to a hospital. His passenger, a 58-year-old Napa man, was not injured in the collision, the CHP said.
