2 Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash On Lakeville Road
The head-on collision near Highway 37 closed the roadway for more than two hours during the morning commute, officials said.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – A Vallejo man's pickup veered into oncoming lanes this morning on Lakeville Road near State Route 37 in Sonoma County, setting off a multiple-vehicle crash that injured two North Bay motorists and snarled traffic, authorities said.
A 31-year-old driver from Vallejo was heading north at about 7 a.m. on Lakeville Road, north of Highway 37, when his Toyota Tacoma "for unknown reasons" went into southbound lanes on Lakeville and sideswiped a big-rig being driven by a Novato man, and then hit -- head-on -- a Lexus driven by a Petaluma woman, 32, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Toyota driver suffered major injuries and was taken by ambulance to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, while the Petaluma motorist was transported with minor injuries to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa, the CHP said.

The CHP, Cal Fire, the Lakeville Volunteer Fire Department and Petaluma Fire Department were at the scene and traffic was detoured and Lakeville partially closed until about 9:30 a.m., officials said.
While at the Lakeville Road crash, CHP officers were notified by a passing big-rig driver of another nearby wreck on Lakeville where a 23-year-old man from Rohnert Park reportedly fell asleep and drove his truck off the road and into a drainage ditch. The motorist refused medical treatment and traffic was not affected by that accident, the agency said.
