Arts Council Napa Valley will hold the third annual Napa County State of the Arts Summit on February 28th from 1pm-6pm at the Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center. The event will convene arts stakeholders, students and community members to discuss topics and issues relevant to the local arts community including, education, creative economy, advocacy, social justice and more. The Summit will include the presentation of the 2017 ACNV Community Fund grant recipients. Please see more details and program highlights below.

Moving in the Movement: Art, Young People and Social Justice
Sarah Crowell has literally been a mover and a shaker at Destiny Arts Center for 25 years. In her dynamic presentation she will describe Destiny Arts Center's work, talk about ways that she has navigated the tumultuous world of a youth arts nonprofit, and invite the audience to literally move ideas and concepts into their bodies.

Featuring rock 'n' roll international discovery artists Katéa (Finland), Ben Hazlewood (New Zealand), Speaker First (Indonesia) with opener Madyx
(USA). With each showcase set, Blue Note Napa Chef Jessica Sedlacek will create a series of four course small plate dishes inspired by each artist's country of origin to pair with Humanitas and Foundry Wines.
