The 2022 Napa Commute Challenge Is On

Registered participants can receive gift card rewards up to $500 in value.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — Residents of Napa County are invited to participate in the 2022 Napa Commute Challenge. This program, put on by the Napa Valley Transportation Authority, encourages people to use alternative ways to commute, such as carpooling/vanpooling, public transit, biking, walking, or teleworking to reduce congestion and improve air quality.

Participants must log their alternative commute trips on V-Commute.com and can earn 10 points per trip, with a maximum of 20 points per day. Participants will earn rewards for logging alternative commute trips. Receive 20 points just for signing up!

$15 reward: 300 points
$25 reward: 600 points
$500 reward: top 10 point-getters, called “Commute Heroes”

Participants who log at least 10 trips per week will be eligible for a $100 reward in weekly drawings.

Rewards are distributed through Tango Card, redeemable at hundreds of merchants like Amazon, AirBnB, Apple, Fandango, Grubhub, Lowe’s, Petco, Starbucks, and Best Buy. Alternatively, participants can donate their reward to a charity like Hope for Ukraine, the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, the Special Olympics, and the Nature Conservancy.

Taking part in the Commute Challenge is easy:

  1. Sign up on V-Commute (www.vcommute.org).
  2. Log your commutes and earn points.
  3. Redeem points for gift cards or donate your gift card to a charity.
