$4.4 Million Renovation Project At Napa Library Begins Monday

The project will be completed by June 2017.

NAPA COUNTY, CA – Renovations at the Napa County Library begin Monday and are expected to be completed by June 2017.

The $4.4 million design and construction project will focus on:

· Children’s Area updates;

· The Circulation Area, including adding a modernized automated handling system and garage conversion to improve delivery and return of materials;

· New bathrooms;

· Increased meeting space; and

· Improved heating and air conditioning.

Project funding comes from library reserves.

The current Napa branch, built in 1972, is a 34,600-square-foot facility located at 580 Coombs St. The facelift is yet another milestone in the library’s 100th anniversary. The library serves more than 1,500 people on average each day.
