750 Thanksgiving Meals Handed Out At Napa Event

Cars streamed through the Napa Expo grounds for the drive-thru food distribution event.

NAPA, CA — Several vehicles passed through the Napa Expo fairgrounds Sunday as part of a food delivery of 750 packages containing turkeys, milk, eggs, flour and other food items in time for Thanksgiving.

Participants had vouchers to receive the food packages.

Four groups sponsored the food program, including the Napa County Hispanic Network, Gonzalez Vineyard Management, and two Bay Area nonprofits, the Mission Meals Coalition and the HOMEY group.

Organizers included Jorge Gonzalez, Gabriela Alerman and Hugo Nevarez. According to Gonzalez, there will be another food package distribution in December but the date has not been set.
