Alleged 'Meth Boss' Arrested By Napa Special Investigations Bureau

The Fairfield man allegedly managed to elude Napa investigators for more than a decade.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — A 31-year-old Fairfield man suspected of acting as a "meth boss" by allegedly dispatching "runners" to deliver meth into Napa County was arrested by the Napa Special Investigations Bureau last week, a NSIB lieutenant said in a news release. Isidro Llamas-Romero was taken into custody Thursday, Sept. 14 at his home in the 1000 block of Harding Street in Fairfield, Lt. Gary Pitkin said.

Llamas-Romero's arrest comes after a months-long investigation into his alleged "sophisticated" Napa County drug trafficking activities and years after NSIB first learned of his alleged involvement with drug sales.

For more than a decade, detectives worked to build "prosecutable" cases against Llamas-Romero, Pitkin said. But Llamas-Romero continually "managed to slip away by moving, changing aliases, cars and phone numbers," Pitkin said.

During a recent investigation of a drug trafficking organization responsible for delivering meth from Solano County into Napa County, Pitkin said Llamas-Romero was again identified as being involved.

After spending hours of surveillance building a case against Llamas-Romero, detectives obtained a search warrant and on Thursday, searched his home and cars.

Approximately 2,000 doses of methamphetamine and cocaine were seized along with evidence of drug sales, Pitkin said. Additionally, $29,000 in cash was seized from Llamas-Romero pursuant to asset forfeiture statutes as suspected drug proceeds, the lieutenant said.

At 2 p.m. Thursday, Llamas-Romero was arrested on suspicion of possession of both methamphetamine and cocaine for sale and was booked into Solano County Jail, where he remained Monday in lieu of $1 million bail, according to jail records.
