News from office of Belia Ramos:

American City Councilmember Belia Ramos announced last week at an event surrounded by her family and supporters that she will run for the 5th District seat on the Napa County Board of Supervisors. Caldwell was first elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2008 and was re-elected without opposition in 2012. Among his accomplishments on the Board, he has worked to protect Napa’s natural resources and fight for clean drinking water.

“Keith Caldwell has been a tremendous public servant for the people of Napa County. I am honored to have his endorsement as his successor and will strive to build on his record of protecting our special quality of life,” said Ramos.

Ramos has served on the American Canyon City Council since 2010, where she has played an integral role on issues such as budget, public safety, traffic and transportation, public education, watershed conservation and the arts. She is the incorporator and board member of the American Canyon Community & Parks Foundation, American Canyon High School Alliance, Napa Valley Canine Foundation and Napa Valley Crime Stoppers. In 2012, Governor Brown appointed her to the 25th Agricultural District Board (Napa Town and Country Fair).

Born and raised in Napa County, Ramos is a small business owner, attorney and community activist. She lives in American Canyon with her family.
