American Canyon Sets Date For Community Recognition Ball

AMERICAN CANYON, CA – American Canyon Parks and Recreation Department will honor outstanding community volunteers at its 19th Annual Community Recognition Ball on Saturday, April 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Community Center Gym, 100 Benton Way in American Canyon.

Community members and city officials gather annually to recognize volunteers who help make American Canyon a caring and vibrant community, according to organizers.

This year's festivities include a social hour, catered dinner, awards presentation and dancing.

Nominations are open for the following awards, presented at the Recognition Ball: Certificate of Community Appreciation; Organizational Award; Gateway Award; Business of the Year Award; Youth of the Year Award; and Fire Fighter of the Year.

Nominations for most awards can be made by anyone in the community at www.cityofamericancanyon.org/recball or in person at the Parks & Recreation Department, (100 Benton Way), by Feb. 28 at 5:30 p.m. Visit the city's website for selection criteria and details.
