• Napa Building Scheme Led By Glen Ellen Woman: Napa Police Department (patch.com) — Napa police say a Glen Ellen woman is suspected of running an unlicensed contracting scheme that began with a Napa home remodel and allegedly defrauded multiple homeowners across Napa County. Investigators accuse her of diverting construction funds, using unlicensed workers, and forging documents, and they’re asking anyone in Napa who may have been affected to contact Detective Darlene Elia.    

• Brothers' Bid To Undo Brutal Napa Valley Attack Prison Term (patch.com) — A Napa County judge has refused to shorten the prison terms of two brothers convicted in a notorious 1995 stabbing attack on three visitors in downtown Yountville, keeping their life-top sentences intact. Prosecutors successfully argued the men intended to kill, meaning recent California resentencing reforms do not apply, a decision that resonates across Napa Valley’s justice system.
