NAPA VALLEY, CA — A Suisun City man suspected of intentionally hitting a man with his vehicle outside a Napa card room before fleeing faces murder and hit-and-run charges, according to Napa police.
The man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after Napa police said he intentionally drove into a man during an argument outside Ace & Vine, 505 Lincoln Ave., killing him before fleeing the scene.
Officers responded about 12:25 a.m. to the site after receiving a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim seriously injured in the parking lot.
Witnesses told officers the man had not been shot but had been hit by a vehicle. He was taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center, where he died.
Detectives identified the suspect as Reginald Davis Jr., 24, of Suisun City.
Later that afternoon, Napa police and the Napa Special Investigations Bureau found Davis and the vehicle at a Suisun City home.
Police detained Davis without incident and served a search warrant. According to police, Davis said he argued with the victim. He is suspected of then striking the victim with his vehicle and then driving away.
Detectives booked Davis into the Napa County Department of Corrections on suspicion of murder and felony hit-and-run resulting in death or injury.
