Injured Berryessa Hiker Rescued By Napa Crews

Crews transported an injured woman by boat Sunday after she broke her leg near Lake Berryessa.

LAKE BERRYESSA, CA — Napa County sheriff's deputies and emergency crews rescued a woman Sunday after she broke her leg while hiking near the shoreline of Lake Berryessa, authorities said.

The Napa County Sheriff's Marine Unit assisted with the woman's medical transport after rugged terrain made reaching her from land difficult.

Paramedics accessed the woman by boat and treated her near the shoreline before crews transported her for further medical care.

CAL FIRE, American Medical Response, and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation assisted with the rescue and treatment.
