NAPA VALLEY, CA — A 63-year-old Napa suspected of having child sexual assault material on a computer seized from his home was arrested today.

Free worked at a Napa establishment where minors are present, the sheriff's office said in a news release on social media.

They did not identify his employer or describe Free's job there.

The investigation began after the Solano County Sheriff's Office learned that Free was suspected of trying to sexually exploit children online, according to Napa County authorities.

Napa County detectives took over the investigation because Free lived in Napa County, the sheriff's office said.

Detectives from the Napa and Solano county sheriff's offices served a search warrant last month at Free's residence in the 3600 block of Harkness St. in Napa, authorities said.

Investigators seized Free's personal electronic devices while executing the warrant. Detectives later searched the devices and found what they suspected to be child sexual assault material on his computer, according to the sheriff's office.

Anyone with information should contact Napa County Sheriff's Det. J. Pinedo at 707-299-1502.
