NAPA COUNTY, CA — A Napa man has been taken into custody in connection with a series of residential burglaries, the Napa County Sheriff's Office said.
David Alejandro Gomez Sanchez, a 44-year-old construction worker, was arrested Friday after allegedly selling stolen jewelry at dealers in Napa and Contra Costa County, the sheriff's office said on social media.
The arrest came after detectives noticed a pattern in four residential burglaries occurring in the Hagen Road area of Napa. The victims said their jewelry had been stolen but with no evidence of forced entry.
Detectives said the pattern also fit a residential burglary in Pleasant Hill.
A search warrant executed Friday at Gomez's residence turned up jewelry linked to the Napa burglaries, deputies said. Additional stolen jewelry was found in the vehicle he was driving, they said.
Gomez has worked on multiple homes in Napa County and may have been involved in similar thefts dating back to 2024, deputies said.
Anyone with information on thefts potentially involving Gomez, or who has video surveillance of him, is asked to contact Detective Marcus Solis at marcus.solis@countyofnapa.org or Detective Christian Winegar at christian.winegar@countyofnapa.org.
