Teens Took Off GPS Ankle Tracker Arrested In High-Speed North Bay Police Chase (patch.com) — Napa residents may have noticed a dangerous high-speed chase that started when Napa police tried to stop a Chrysler 300 for vehicle violations and the teen driver sped off toward Sonoma County. The car reportedly hit 100 mph, passed on the shoulder, spun out, and finally stopped on Napa Road, where officers arrested three young men. Two of them were already wanted after allegedly cutting off their probation GPS ankle monitors.
   

2. Man Wanted On Oral Copulation With A Minor Arrested In Bay Area Traffic Stop (patch.com) — Napa police arrested a 35-year-old local man during a traffic stop near the 2500 block of Laurel Street after recognizing him as wanted on a warrant. He was booked into Napa County custody on suspicion of oral copulation with a minor, with bail set at $25,000, which he later posted. The case centers on alleged conduct involving a minor but remains at the arrest stage.
   

3. Napa Valley Vintners announce $1.8 million for student wellness (napavalleyregister.com) — Napa Valley Vintners is putting $1.8 million into wellness services on Napa County school campuses, expanding counseling, peer support, and safe spaces for local students. Five nonprofits, including Mentis and Napa Valley Education Foundation, will use the grants to bolster on-campus wellness centers that already serve more than half of Napa County's public high school students.
   

4. Growers urge state to step up glassy-winged sharpshooter trapping and treatment (pressdemocrat.com) — Napa County's wine industry, which drives much of the local economy, is facing a serious threat from the glassy-winged sharpshooter, an invasive insect that spreads the vine-killing Pierce's disease. Napa's agricultural commissioner told state lawmakers that hundreds of potentially infected grapevines moved through the county, prompting warnings and tracing efforts, and urged Sacramento to boost funding for trapping, treatment, and inspections statewide.
   

5. Napa County heading into Super El Niño rainy season (napavalleyregister.com) — Napa County is heading into a predicted "super El Niño" rainy season, and experts say the city of Napa could see above-average rainfall that will test its flood control projects. Officials outline which neighborhoods remain vulnerable near Lincoln Avenue, how residents should monitor National Weather Service alerts, and why reservoirs like Lake Hennessey are likely to fill and spill this winter.
