NAPA VALLEY, CA — A major head-on collision near Calistoga injured three people, leaving two with major injuries who required an airlift.
The early morning crash involved a Chevrolet pickup truck and a 2003 Acura TL sedan on Highway 29/128 north of Bale Lane, according to the California Highway Patrol and CAL FIRE/Napa County Fire.
Both lanes of the roadway were blocked by the crash that happened around 7 a.m. Tuesday.
CAL FIRE transported one person to a local hospital. A ground ambulance transported a second patient, and responders evaluated the third at the scene.
The collision occurred in the same area as a two-car crash Saturday evening that sent eight people to the hospital, according to CAL FIRE.
CHP is investigating the cause of Tuesday's collision.
