NAPA VALLEY, CA — John Cleese is not dead — yet. According to the comedian, he is so alive that he is celebrating the golden anniversary of "The Holy Grail."
To celebrate, the Monty Python co-founder will bring "John Cleese: Still Not Dead (Yet)" to Napa.
Cleese will be there to share behind-the-scenes stories and answer audience questions after a screening of Monty Python and the Holy Grail at Uptown Theatre on April 4, 2027.
Cleese's comedy career also includes Fawlty Towers, which he co-wrote with Connie Booth and starred in as hotel manager Basil Fawlty. His film credits include A Fish Called Wanda and the James Bond movies The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day.
Ticketmaster opened general ticket sales today. Limited VIP packages include premium seating and a downloadable photograph with Cleese after the show. The packages exclude autographs.
The Sunday event starts at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. The theater bills the program as "Celebrating the Holy Grail at 50."
