Applebee's Tip-A-Cop In Napa Raises $1.3K For Special Olympics

Officers from Napa, Calistoga and State Hospital police departments served as waiters with tips benefiting the non-profit.

NAPA, CA – Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar in Napa partnered with local police officers in a recent Tip-A-Cop fundraiser that raised more than $1,300 for Special Olympics of Northern California , according to organizers.

Members of law enforcement from the Napa, Calistoga and State Hospital police departments on Sept. 6 served as "celebrity waiters" at Applebee’s on Soscol Avenue for the fundraising event, with 100 percent of their tips going to Special Olympics, which provides year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Tip-A-Cops are fundraising events organized by The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, where officers volunteer their time for Special Olympics.
