Officers searched the South Napa Marketplace, Gasser and Soscol area but did not find the suspect.

The patrol division continued the investigation and identified the person in the photo as 32-year-old Napa man Christopher Delno Davis, who is known to camp in the area known as the "Fishbowl," Medina said.

Officers searched the Wine Train tracks near the Fishbowl and found Davis shortly after 10 a.m. in an encampment near Tulocay Creek.

"Davis was found wearing the same clothing seen during the attempted robbery," Medina said.

Davis is on probation for resisting arrest and is subject to search and seizure by officers as a condition of his probation.

"A search of his camp revealed a pistol wrapped in plastic (later determined to be a Co2 BB gun, not a firearm)," Medina said.

Davis was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and burglary, and for violating his probation order.

On Sept. 4, Davis was arrested for warrants, possession of a methamphetamine pipe and probation violation, Medina said.
