Bank of Marin in Napa Hosts Successful Shred Day, Increases Donations to Local Schools

Bank of Marin in Napa hosted their annual Shred Day on Tuesday August 20 with dozens of people dropping off old documents to be shredded. A&P Records Management shredded close to 8,000 pounds of paper, and the pulp will be recycled and used for new paper goods.

In exchange, close to 50 boxes of school supplies were donated, which will be distributed to Napa Valley schools through the Teacher Resource Center of the North Bay, a local nonprofit that supports teachers by giving them an opportunity to shop free of charge for classroom supplies.

“We’re so grateful for the generosity of the Napa community, and as our schools’ needs grow, we hope to do even more for teachers and students. Together, with the help of local businesses and individuals  we can try to provide the best possible learning environment for our kids,” said Kathleen Montgomery, founder and President of the Board of Teacher Resource Center of the North Bay.
