Beauties In Bloom: Rohnert Park Photos Of The Week

A Patch reader shares photos of flowers blooming in her backyard garden. She also shares some tips for aspiring gardeners.

ROHNERT PARK, CA — Patch reader Lisa Fabbri has quite the backyard garden. Lucky for us, she sent in some photos showing the fruit of her labor: zinnias, dahlias and hollyhock were all in bloom.

"They are all grown here in my backyard, in pots. I get great morning sun and afternoon shade," Lisa wrote in an email to Patch.

"I haven't had much luck with our clay soil here, but I've started adding mulch to maybe soften it for next year," she added.

Lisa said she is also growing morning glory, poppy and Lily of the Valley, and she promised to send photos when they bloom.

Thanks so much for sharing, Lisa — we 're looking forward to that!
