BREAKING: Yountville Shooting-Related Suspect Found

Shelter-in-place is lifted.

Advisory: Shooting update: Suspect has been located. Shelter in place has been lifted. 

Suspect (white/male/late 40s) has been located on Wall Rd. in his vehicle, deceased from apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Napa County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a suspect in a shooting that occurred near Yountville early this afternoon.

The shooting occurred in the 6000 block of Solano Avenue south of Yountville shortly before 12:10 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office.

The suspect fled in a vehicle and was pursued to private property off of Wall Road, where he fled on foot, sheriff’s officials said.

Sheriff’s officials are advising residents to lock their doors, be alert and report any suspicious person in the area.
