Brenda Hillman: "Some Live Things Poetry Can Do: (Remembering C.D. Wright)"

Brenda Hillman will give a lecture on the art and craft of poetry as part of the Napa Valley Writers' Conference.

Hillman’s most recent work is Seasonal Works With Letters on Fire, her ninth volume of poetry, which received the Griffin International Poetry Prize in 2014. Previous titles include Practical Water, which received the Los Angeles Times Prize for Poetry, and Pieces of Air in the Epic, winner of the William Carlos Williams Prize from the Poetry Society of America.

Lecture tickets cost $25 per person and may be purchased by cash or check at the door. Or attend all eight conference lectures for a fee of $175, or just the poetry or fiction series (four lectures) for $90.

Students with valid ID are admitted for $15 per lecture. Napa Valley Writers' Conference attendees, supporters, and conference community housing hosts are admitted for free.
