City of St. Helena Business Loan Program Proposal
The City will begin an "over the counter" loan process as early as June 10th.

On Tuesday, May 26th, 2020, City Council requested city staff to prepare a business loan program for consideration and approval at the June 9th Council meeting. If approved, the program will be open to active city businesses with 25 or less employees, who are in good standing (utility payments, no legal issues) and have experienced hardships as a result of COVID-19. The proposed program anticipates $200,000 distributed in loan amounts up to $15,000 - $20,000 at zero interest and manageable repayment terms. The City of St. Helena is currenting working with the St. Helena Chamber of Commerce in surveying the needs of city businesses within city limits. If the business loan program is approved on June 9th, the City will begin an “over the counter” loan process as early as June 10th.
