Collegiate Tennis Teams Compete this Weekend at Silverado

The 4th Annual College Invitational Tennis Tournament is being held this weekend at Silverado Resort & Spa starting on Friday. There is no cost to come out and watch. Complimentary wine tasting provided by Beringer is featured on Saturday.

This is a fundraiser event with proceeds going back into the tennis community supporting Napa Valley Tennis Association (NVTA) and Napa Valley College tennis team. There will be gift baskets, a wine auction, and a raffle at the tournament.

Competing in the tennis event are some of the best men’s college players from USF, University of Pacific, Oklahoma State, Southern Methodist, University of Hawaii and University of Tulsa. UOP won the tournament last year.

Teams arrive Thursday night and kick off the event with a pro-am round robin. Singles and doubles play begins Friday morning at 9am and continues through Sunday with the last matches finishing up around 11am.

Supporters of the event include Beringer, Rocca Vineyards, Napa Pain Institute, Yount Street Glass, Joel Gott Wines and Seaglass Wines, The Moore Group Real Estate, Buchalter Nemer, Sundridge Nurseries, Sportabout, Yountville Deli, and Queen of the Valley.
