Coronavirus In Napa County: 54 Confirmed Cases
The number of cases increased by six in one day.
NAPA COUNTY, CA — The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, increased from 48 on Monday to 54 on Tuesday, according to the latest information available from Napa County public health officials.
Of the six new cases confirmed Tuesday, four are in the city of Napa, one is in the city of American Canyon and one in the Town of Yountville.
Cumulatively, 36 cases have now been reported in the county's most populous city, Napa; six cases are in the city of American Canyon; one in the city of Calistoga; one in the city of St. Helena; and two in the town of Yountville. The other cases are in unincorporated county areas: two in the Pope Valley area; two in the county area between Yountville and St. Helena; two in the county area between west Napa and Yountville; one between St. Helena and Calistoga; and one in the East Napa area.

According to the figures, which are updated at 1 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 18 people have recovered from the disease since the first local case was reported March 22. Two people have died; the deaths were reported March 31 and April 2.
The county reports that 28 of the cases were among non-Hispanic white residents — or 51.9 percent —and 21 cases — or 38.9 percent— were among Hispanic residents; another four cases were people of an ethnicity other than white or Hispanic.

Two cases were residents 17 or younger, while seven people were older than 64 have been sickened by the virus. Thirteen cases have involved residents between 50 and 64 years old, while 32 people, the majority, have involved residents between 18 and 49 years old.
More females than males have fallen sick to the coronavirus in Napa County: 35 females, or 64.8 percent, compared to 19 males, or 35.2 percent.
Coronavirus Testing In Napa County
A total of 1,135 residents have been tested for the virus, 220 of whom were awaiting test results Tuesday. Information about testing in the county is available by calling the Napa County Information Line at 707-253-4540, according to the Napa County Office of Emergency Services.
The county's COVID-19 information line is staffed Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. until noon and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Call center staff speak English and Spanish and can provide referrals to critical information and resources including: food assistance, health coverage, testing information, mental health, financial Assistance, health order Information, utilities, housing topics and other general questions.
