Crash On Hwy 29 Near Napa County Airport Causes Brief Sig-Alert
A car hit a Caltrans sign and caught fire, California Highway Patrol reported.

NAPA VALLEY, CA — A Sig-alert was in effect for about 10 minutes Tuesday when a car crashed into a Caltrans sign and caught fire near the Napa County Airport, California Highway Patrol reported.
Shortly before 10 a.m., a white Mercedes-Benz collided with a sign on northbound state Highway 29 just south of state Highway 12, according to CHP dispatchers.
The crash caused major front-end damage and was briefly on fire but got out of the car and was safe, with no injuries reported.

Lane No. 2 was blocked, causing heavy traffic. A Sig-alert was issued at 10:20 a.m. but was canceled at 10:30 a.m. when the roadway was cleared.
