Crash Into Power Pole Near Yountville Closes Roadway

BREAKING: The crash, which sparked a fire, has closed the roadway for several hours, the Napa County Sheriff's Office advised.

NAPA COUNTY, CA -- One-way traffic control was in effect Thursday on Silverado Trail near Yountville where a gray sedan struck and knocked down a power pole and power lines late this morning. The crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. just south of Yountville Cross Road and closed southbound lanes on Silverado Trail.

The vehicle was traveling northbound and for unknown reasons crossed into the southbound lane and collided into a power pole, authorities said.

Subsequently power lines came down into the dry vegetation, and ignited a small vegetation fire, according to Cal Fire/Napa County Fire Department.
