Drugs, Machine Gun Seized In Napa Special Investigation: Cops
A 25-year-old Napa man is accused by authorities of having the drug MDMA, also known as Ecstasy or Molly, shipped to his Napa residence.

NAPA, CA — A 25-year-old man whom police allege was having MDMA — a powdered drug also known as Ecstasy or Molly — shipped to his home address in Napa was arrested Wednesday after he accepted the drug from an undercover detective, according to the Napa Special Investigations Bureau. The investigation of Jeremy Wigington began earlier in June when NSIB learned the drug was being shipped to an address in the 1200 block of El Centro Avenue, said NSIB Lt. Ricky Greenberg.
After determining Wigington was the person who was supposed to receive the MDMA shipment, NSIB took possession of the drug from U.S. Customs and Border Protection and authorized a search warrant for Wigington’s residence and vehicles, Greenberg said.
When Wigington allegedly accepted the MDMA from an undercover detective who went to deliver it, Wigington was detained and more detectives descended on the El Centro Avenue residence.

Greenberg said in addition to evidence indicative of drug sales, detectives found evidence that a butane honey oil lab — for making concentrated marijuana wax — was being operated out of Wigington's residence.
An altered AR-15 rifle with no serial numbers was also seized, according to the lieutenant.

"In an interview with detectives, Wigington admitted to selling MDMA to Napa residents, using and possessing the butane honey oil lab, and admitted to altering the AR-15 rifle," Greenberg said.
Wigington was booked into Napa County jail on suspicion of three felonies: possession of a controlled substance for sales purposes, manufacturing of a controlled substance and conversion of a firearm into a machine gun.
"NSIB investigates both drug trafficking and human trafficking in Napa County," Greenberg said. "Community members are urged to call NSIB at 253-4458 with tips. Callers can remain confidential and/or anonymous."
