Elderly Napa Couple Die From Crash Injuries

BREAKING: Witnesses are sought in a Napa Police Department investigation of the collision.

NAPA, CA — Witnesses are sought by Napa police as an investigation continues into a single-vehicle crash Nov. 7 that resulted in the deaths of an elderly Napa man and his wife. The Napa Police Department was notified Nov. 13 that Donald Gray, 90, and Emily Gray, 91 — who were rushed to a local hospital following the collision at the intersection of Trancas Street and Claremont Way — both later died from their injuries, according to Napa police traffic sergeant Kristofer Jenny.

Napa police returned to the crash site Tuesday to conduct a further investigation, which involved intermittent lane closures for about three hours, the sergeant said.

Police determined the Grays were traveling eastbound on Trancas when their vehicle left the roadway and collided with a traffic signal at the intersection. Neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to be a factor, Jenny said.
