4th Annual Napa River Rock & Stroll

Kaiser Permanente Napa-Solano presents the Napa River Rock & Stroll family fun run on Saturday, September 22, 2012. The 6K fun run/walk along the Napa River Trail is a great way to engage in a healthy activity and support local families. The event is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

The fun begins at 8:30am at the Kennedy Park softball fields and ends at Veterans Memorial Park in Downtown Napa. Participants will enjoy live music performed by local musicians along the River Trail during their run or walk and will be greeted at the Finish Line Festival by hopping dance tunes and cheering crowds. The festival features kids’ activities and family-friendly vendors. Registered participants receive a race bib, race T-shirt and reusable water bottle (while supplies last), goodie bag, free downtown parking and shuttle to the starting line at Kennedy Park.

Entry fees start at $15 for children to $25 for adults. Participants can register online at www.napariverrockandstroll.org  or pick up an entry form at Cope Family Center. Early registration is encouraged, as prices will increase on September 8th. Race-day registration begins at 7am at the Kennedy Park softball fields.

A fundraiser for the 40-year-old Cope Family Center, Napa River Rock & Stroll benefits child abuse prevention programs in Napa County. Since 1972, Cope Family Center has been teaching families in stress how to become stable and self-sufficient for the benefit of their children and our community. Serving over 1,350 families, Cope is a hub for multiple community services, providing a comprehensive approach to meet each family’s challenge.

Community members who want to do more in the campaign to benefit the children and families of Napa County are encouraged to form teams of co-workers, friends, neighbors, family or club members, and raise funds. All donations and funds raised will benefit Cope’s child abuse prevention programs and are tax-deductible. Details on forming a team are provided at www.napariverrocknstroll.org
