Blues, Brews and BBQ

All are invited to come and enjoy a cold drink, sample barbecue and hear some of the best blues artists in the Bay Area. Blues artists will play on three different musical stages and include Andy Santana and Tip of the Top (winner of the Golden Gate Blues Society’s International Blues Challenge).

The Backyard Beer Garden will feature 20 microbrews such as Lagunitas, Pyramid Ale, Dogfish, Alaskan, New Belgium and two beers from Blue Moon Brewery. For $20, the over 21 crowd can purchase a beer stein and receive eight tasting tickets. Nonalcoholic beverages will also be available for cash.

Barbecued ribs, chicken, oysters, corn, pork and more will be available from several different barbecue stands. Food vendors will accept cash only.

This year’s event will feature a rib eating contest, sponsored by local restaurant and wine bar Bounty Hunter Wine Bar & Smokin’ BBQ.  The contest will include three Napa Valley winemakers along with nine local barbecue fanatics looking to earn the title of Rib Eatin’ Champion.  Attendees can watch them go plate-to-plate in this friendly competition at 3:00 p.m.
