Did you know? Mountain bikes were invented in Marin!

's first movie of the day is “Klunkerz” - a movie which brings you the history of mountain bikes featuring mountain bike pioneers Gary Fisher, Joe Breeze, Mike Sinyard, Tom Ritchey and Charlie Kelly.

“The fun starts with Billy Savage’s documentary-styled look at the birth of mountain biking in Klunkerz. Klunkerz takes you back to the first baby steps of mountain biking in the hills of Marin County in the late1960s and 70s. Classic footage, and even more classic denim-armored characters-some of whom have gone on to mountain biking royalty like Gary Fisher and Joe Breeze-makes this an enjoyable, educational, and entertaining movie.”

This film will be followed by the exculusive work in progress screening of Rising From Ashes. This not yet released film chronicles the Rwandan cycling team's journey to the London Olympics. The $25 donation includes a wine reception, silent auction, and director Q&A and proceeds will benefit Team Rwanda and Napa Bike.
