Guitarist-singer-composer Leo Kottke is a true American original, a dazzling instrumentalist with a grow-to-love-it voice whose commitment to his craft jump-started a re-appreciation of American acoustic guitar music. In four decades of touring and recording, Kottke has created an entirely new language for the 6- and 12-string guitars while influencing generations of musicians and listeners. Known for his innovative finger-picking style, Kottke’s ability to embrace folk idioms and pop melodies as readily as he assimilates jazz and classical influences makes him unique among guitar virtuosi.
