Written and directed by French director René Féret, Mozart’s Sister is a re-imagined account of the early life of the talented Maria Anna “Nannerl” Mozart. An accomplished composer and performer, Nannerl is soon overshadowed by her prodigious little brother and forbidden to play the violin or compose. Nannerl chafes at the limitations imposed on her gender, finding ways to challenge the established social order. Featuring the Baroque music of composer Marie-Jeanne Séréro.
