Mark Ibañez, Sports Director at KTVU Channel 2, along with San Francisco Giants Nate Schierholtz, Brandon Crawford, Tim Flannery and other surprise guests will be "Talkin' Baseball."
Doors open at 6:30 for the VIP Reception, 7:15 for general admission. In addition to hearing about the Giants' magical season as 2010 World Champions, speakers will discuss this year's team, the remainder of the season leading up to the playoffs, and attendees will have an opportunity to take a photo with the World Championship Trophy. Dr. Clara Lajonchere, director of Scientific Research for Autism Speaks kicks off the event, following an appearance by guest emcee Bob Sarlatte - radio and television personality and voice of the San Francisco 49ers.
A special musical performance by Tim Flannery and his band the Lunatic Fringe, plus silent and live auctions round out the evening. All net proceeds benefit Autism Speaks, the nation's largest autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism.
