Fava beans are just starting to come in now in Sonoma County.
Here at Valley End Farm, we are just starting to pick them, but soon will have a lot.

What most people don’t know is that you do not have to spend a lot of time shelling them or peeling them.
Here on our farm, we just grill, roast, or sauté them in the pod when they are fresh picked.

Super Easy, Sauteed, Fresh Fava Beans
1 lb Fava Beans
Sautéed in either olive oil or melted butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Cut into bite size pieces and sauté in a little olive oil or butter to desired doneness.
Add salt and pepper to taste,
Note can add to any pasta dish, as well for some color and flavor
While many grocery stores will not carry them, we will have a lot soon. So come on over and get some or we will also be putting them in our CSA weekly bags that you can get delivered right to your doorstep.
