'Feed Our Families' Supports The Boys and Girls Clubs
A new donation campaign led by Press Restaurant has served nearly 6,000 meals.

PRESS Restaurant in St. Helena has joined in support with The Boys and Girls Clubs of St. Helena and Calistoga on “Feed Our Families,” a new donation campaign launched on April 22nd in partnership with Gott’s Roadside to provide meals to Napa Valley families who have been impacted by Covid-19. Feed Our Families goal is to raise additional funds to support the growing needs of the Calistoga and St. Helena communities. The nutritious family meals are being made by PRESS and Gott’s Roadside restaurants to start, and in the past two weeks more restaurants have come on board including Brasswood, The Charter Oak, Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch, and chef Josh Mitchell’s The Pickled Pig.
“It’s a win-win,” said Press chef Philip Tessier. “The Boys & Girls Club is thrilled that we’re supporting their families … and it’s allowing us to keep our staff employed.” Since kicking off, the restaurants have already served nearly 6000 meals to date serving 185 families, including 406 Boys & Girls Club kids.

Trent Yaconelli, Executive Director, Boys and Girls Clubs of St. Helena and Calistoga, stated, “We define ourselves as an organization and all of us as human beings by the love and kindness we share with others, especially when times are hardest. Through this partnership families of 2 to 10 now have at least one meal a day that they can be secure in receiving when instability is at its highest. Single mothers who have lost their jobs, families with both parents now unemployed, and those in the foster system all need support anywhere they can get it. Feed Our Families is an innovative way to not only feed those who need us the most but also keep folks employed and not needing that same support themselves. 100% of the funds will go ONLY towards food and preparation. The Club will not take a dime in administration fees or staffing fees. Together through Feed our Families we can fill bellies and warm hearts.”
