First Case Of Coronavirus Confirmed In Yountville
The case is not at the Veterans Home of California, a Napa County government official said.
YOUNTVILLE, CA — Napa County has confirmed the first case of coronavirus, or COVID-19, in the town of Yountville. The case is not at the Veterans Home of California, according to Napa County Deputy Executive Officer Molly Rattigan.
"The test came back today and was not included in the county’s daily report that was published at 10:30 this morning," Rattigan said in an email Friday afternoon. "This case will be included in tomorrow’s report. Isolation and quarantine orders have been served and an investigation is underway."
As of Friday morning, there were 44 confirmed cases of the virus in Napa County, including two deaths. The Yountville case brings total cases to 45.

The number of active cases Friday was 25, with another 85 people being monitored for symptoms because they are considered a close contact of an active case.
Thus far in Napa County, 66 percent of people who've tested positive for the virus are females, while 34 percent are males.
