Free concert for preschoolers in Napa Valley and their families. Classical music for little ears and a instrument petting zoo.
The AIR (Artists in Residence) Music program will be offering two Lolli-POPS! concerts at the Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Theater. These fun and informal concerts will start at 12pm and 2pm on Sunday, March 15, 2015. Lolli-POPS! concerts are classical music for little ears. The program will include music written by Mozart, Adams, and others.
The Napa Valley Performing Arts center at Lincoln Theater partnership with the Napa County Office of Education, we offer a preschool arts integration program. Our classes bring together music, movement and storytelling for ages 0-5 in the Napa Valley. AIR musicians work with preschool teachers to create site-specific education programs. They visit 21 county classrooms, thus bringing arts integration and music to over 400 children in the Napa Valley.
The AIR Musicians will be performing the first Lolli-POPS! concert of the season. Preschool children have the opportunity to learn about classical music through listening, games, and lots of fun. After the concert, there will be an instrument petting zoo, where both children (and parents) can try out the musical instruments.
AIR Music is the Artists in Residence program for musicians at the Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Theater. The program emphasizes the importance of meaningful and multi-layered cultural exchange and immersion in teaching and musical expression. AIR Musicians are part of a dynamic community of artists participating in the Napa Valley Performing Arts center at Lincoln Theater’s other programs. During their residencies, artists have access to the Performing Arts Center’s high technology, professional facility and teaching opportunities. Artists speak and perform for preschool children, students and adults. At the conclusion of their residency, the Performing Arts Center hosts a performance and reception for the artists featuring the music they worked on during their residency.
